Melissa and Matthew S.

Melissa and Matthew are Chris and Ronna's two oldest children (see post below). Since I took about a bazillion senior pictures of their youngest daughter, Rebecca, last summer (2008). They really wanted me to take some pictures of Melissa and Matthew too.
We took these in front of their home at dusk and the temperature was about 12 degrees--I kid you not! They had to hold their breath when I took the pictures so you couldn't see their breath! I should have taken a couple of shots where you could see their breath so you don't think I'm lying. They were real troopers as you can tell because you would never know it was that cold out.
A few of these are definitely going in my portfolio! Thanks, Melissa and Matthew for being so game.

Chris and Ronna's Family

This is Chris and Ronna's beautiful family. I had the privilege of taking their daughter, Rebecca's, senior pictures last year (2008) and was thrilled when they called and asked me if I could take some family pictures of them while their two oldest children were home for the holidays.

We took their pictures at their gorgeous home, which was decorated to the hilt for Christmas. This was the first time I ever went to someones home to take their pictures and it was actually a lot of fun. When I arrived, they had a list of shots they wanted taken! It sure made my job a lot easier! They are a fun-loving family and it shows in their images.

Thanks, Chris and Ronna for allowing me to capture your family!

Shauna D., Class of 2009

This beautiful senior is a good friend of my daughter, Ashley. They have been friends since they were about 10 years old
I was so happy when she called me and asked if I would take her senior pictures. I have taken a lot of pictures of Shauna at birthday parties and other events and I have never seen a bad picture of her. I have always thought she could be a model and these pictures prove it!
She is a sweet, Christian young woman and I wish her the best for whatever her future holds.

A Very Late, but Merry Christmas!

OK...so I'm a little late with the "Merry Christmas", but I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I've been busy with work and just spending some time with my girls.
Every year my whole family gets together for a family picture for my mom to send out with her Christmas card. This year was no different. This is my family: My dad and mom; oldest brother, Larry and his wife, Cathy; their three children, Brittany, Cassie and Brandon; my younger brother, Rob and his wife, Aimee; their two sons, Benjamin and Noah; my younger sister, Jennifer and her husband, Peter; and of course, my three beautiful daughters, Ashley, Emily and Natalie.
The second image is our family Christmas card. Many of you know that I design cards as well as take pictures and it's always fun to come up with a new card every Christmas.
I wish you all a very healthy and prosperous new year!

My Beachin' Girls....

While in San Diego, I also decided it was time to get some pictures of my other girls as well as some shots of all 3 of them. That bird was bound and determined to get in all of our pictures! The girls loved the beach and didn't want to go home. I don't blame them---I called my mom and asked her to pack my home up, put the house up for sale and send my stuff to me! I love California!

Sunset Senior

It's been a while since I've signed on. I've been super busy with work, my girls, vacations, photography, etc...

In October, my girls and I had a chance to spend a week in San Diego, California on Coronado Island. It was a fabulous week of sun, surf and sand! While we were there, my senior daughter wanted me to do some beach pictures so here are some of the pictures we took of her.

Heath G., Class of 2009

This weekend I got a request for my first "urban" session--I was so excited. After scouting some downtown locations, I found an alleyway that was perfect for this type of session.
Does this guy look like he should be in a Hollister print ad or what? I have known Heath since he was a freshman, so I was really excited to take his pictures. When his mom suggested an urban setting, I knew he would be perfect. It was fun to do some different pictures and I am so glad they asked for it. I don't think there will be any other seniors with pictures like these!

Heath plans on going to medical school to become a surgeon--watch out, Dr. McDreamy...there will be some fierce competition!! I wish him the best of luck.
