Long Time, No Blog....

Well, it's been a while since I last blogged!! So much has happened in the world...I lost all my dreams of winning a million dollars when Ed McMahon passed away, the world lost an angel that worked for a guy named Charlie, we lost the King of Pop (and Weirdness)and we lost the guy who gave me a headache with all his screaming commercials! What is going to happen to the world now?

I know it sounds like I am making their deaths sound trivial, but I'm really not. My point is, what will you be remembered for doing with your life? Are you out there making a difference? Or are you out there trying to "gain the whole world"? Most of these people gained the whole world (or a lot of it), and in the end, they took nothing with them. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul? I hope you take the time today to think about what kind of legacy you want to leave behind. Will you find a cause that is worthy? Or will you just continue to do what you've been doing? For me, I want to leave a legacy that says I cared about my children and the world they grow up in. I want to leave a legacy that says I cared about my fellow man. What will you do????

Calling the Class of 2010!!!

Well, the Class of 2009 has graduated and they are now starting a new chapter of their life. Congratulations to all of the Class of 2009!

The time has now come for the Class of 2010 to start making appointments for their senior yearbook pictures! Yes, I know it is summer, but your yearbook pictures, for most of you anyway, will need to be turned into your yearbook staff sometime before the end of September. A lot of you may even need to have them turned in by the first of September! Don't wait until the last minute.

Want something different? Want unique pictures that no one else has gotten? Do you want your personality to shine through? Then call TODAY to make your appointment. I have a limited amount of appointments available so don't wait until the last minute.

Call me today, to make your appointment!

Bryre, Class of 2009

I thought I was done with all senior sessions for the Class of 2009, but I received an email from the mom of a young lady whose picture I had taken at a school dance, asking if I could take her pictures.

I have been so lucky every year because I really get some good looking young people and Bryre was no exception! As you can see, not only is she gorgeous, but athletic and musically inclined as well!

Don't you think she looks a lot like Jessica Simpson? I could not get over how much she looks like her in some of the pictures.

Thank you, Bryre, for allowing me to capture these beautiful images of you and best of luck for the future!

Urban Senior

Saturday a cousin of mine, my daughter and myself went to downtown Colorado Springs looking for some cool urban places to take pictures. My daughter, Ashley had been wanting some urban shots, so we set out first thing in the morning to see what we could find!

We found some really fun spots, and I particularly like the ballerina on a mailbox look. We got quite a few strange looks as we propped her up on top of that box! It was a fun day.

If you have an upcoming senior student and are interested in getting urban senior portraits, please call me to make your appointment today!

Fun on the railroad tracks!!

I belong to a local photographers guild called the Colorado Springs Christian Photographer's Guild and this past Monday a bunch of us met to practice some shooting! (With cameras, that is)

My daughters were the willing victims and we had a great time! These are a little different from your average, run-of-the-mill family and children portraits, but I think they are fun and I like that they are so different.

If you are interested in having a fun family picture taken in an urban setting, please call me to make an appointment today! (719-475-1755)

My First Maternity....

This was my first maternity session! Keleigh and her mom came to my studio and at first glance I didn't know which was the mother and which was the daughter! When I saw Keleigh's "bump" I knew she was the one that was expecting! Baby boy Weston is due on May 26th. Keleigh was a most willing subject so it put me at ease for this session. It was a lot of fun and I'm hoping to get some more expectant moms in the future! Congratulations, Keleigh!

Doctor Headshots

This weekend I had the pleasure of taking pictures of a local doctor here in Colorado Springs. She needed some new headshots for her practice website as well as a headshot for a conference she will be speaking at in the near future. She was as nice as could be and said she doesn't photograph well....I beg to differ!
